The Company

Redileads (Anglesey) Ltd. is an independent, private limited company, trading since 1978, and accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000. We operate out of a 17,000 sq.ft. factory, with over 50 employees, and an average turnover of £1.8 million.

Redileads Asia Ltd. is a sister company, whose function is to import smaller, high volume assemblies from its Hong Kong registered subsidiary, Redileads (HK) Ltd.

Commitment To Quality

We are committed to maintaining our reputation for providing top quality products. Our manufacturing processes are subject to rigorous control, and each individual batch of assemblies, from simple leads to the largest wiring loom is given a computer generated tracking number to ensure that our control of all aspects of quality is of the highest standard. We operate a formal training programme, and our operators are encouraged to achieve NVQs in manufacturing techniques and procedures. The goods supplied by our Hong Kong operation are subject to the same high standard of inspection as our UK-produced assemblies, and in many instances the materials used are supplied from the UK.

Capability

We have a range of automatic and semi-automatic processing machines that can handle all types and sizes of cable, and an advanced harness testing system that we use to test every harness that we produce, high volume or low, from the most complex to the simplest. Our aim has been to achieve flexibility in our manufacturing processes, so that even low volume assemblies can be produced competitively. By retaining our manufacturing and quality control facilities in the UK, we can ensure that the usual communication and lead time problems associated with importing goods from the Far East do not arise.

Product Development

An important part of the Engineering Department's function is the production of initial samples for customer approval. We actively seek involvement with our customers at the project planning stage; harness making has been our speciality for many years, and we know from experience that our input at this point can sometimes be very useful to both parties. We are also happy to take part in cost reduction or value analysis exercises on existing products.

Service

Customer service is top priority at Redileads. Our computerised stock control and sales order systems enable us to respond promptly and efficiently to customer enquiries and orders. We are now an approved supplier to an impressive range of leading manufacturers, both in the UK and overseas, but we still take pride in a friendly, flexible approach.
